Number of nuclear weapons in India rises from 12 to 120: Sipri

India has increased its nuclear weapons capability, according to a report by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute. India's nuclear arsenal has grown from 12 to 150 in one year. However, India has fewer nuclear bombs than Pakistan. Pakistan has 12 nuclear weapons.
A report by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) claims that the world is in the race to increase the capability of nuclear weapons. India is not far behind in the nuclear race. India's number of nuclear weapons has increased significantly in one year. According to Sipri, India had 12 nuclear weapons in 2021, a figure that has risen to 120 in 206. However, India still lags behind Pakistan in official statistics. Pakistan is so economically destitute that it is not in a position to develop new nuclear weapons, even though Pakistan has 12 nuclear bombs.
China has begun to modernize its military. In the same way, nuclear weapons have increased. According to Sipri, China has 40 nuclear bombs. Still, China continues to allocate funds to increase its nuclear arsenal. Based on a satellite image, Sipri said China has been actively pursuing nuclear power for the past year.
Sipri prepares a report on nuclear weapons every year. Officially, hardly any country releases an accurate figure, but based on satellite data and activity, Sipri presents this report. Nine countries in the world have nuclear weapons. The United States, Russia, China, Britain, France, India, Pakistan, Israel, North Korea are all nuclear-armed countries. Sipri called on the world to reduce its production of nuclear weapons for world peace.
