New Delhi, 15 June 2022, Wednesday

The popularity of US President Joe Biden, who came to power after defeating Donald Trump, is declining due to rising inflation. On the other hand, there are signs that Donald Trump is emerging stronger again.

The Republican Party is in the process of selecting candidates for the November midterm elections in the United States, with 108 candidates running for office in various positions who are considered staunch supporters of Trump. The issue is to fight the election.

Given the current trend, it is expected that Trump's Republican Party will win a landslide victory in the midterm elections. Because 56 percent of people are dissatisfied with Biden's presidency and only 39 percent consider his work satisfactory. Biden's popularity is declining due to inflation. Even within the Democratic Party, Biden's approval rating has dropped from 85 percent to 74 percent.

Political analysts believe that rising inflation is the biggest challenge for the Biden government. Because there is anger among the people due to inflation.

According to an analysis in a US newspaper, the Republican Party has fielded eight candidates for the Senate, 86 for the House of Representatives and five for the governorship who are staunch supporters of Trump, some of whom were involved in the 2021 attack on the US Parliament.

It is believed that the results of the mid-term elections will determine the direction of which party will win in 2024.
