BJP's dominance in Rajya Sabha remains unchanged: 8 out of 16 seats won

New Delhi: Eight Rajya Sabha seats in 12 states were vacant, with voting for 15 seats. Candidates for the remaining 21 seats were elected unopposed. Veteran leaders have won these seats in four states - Rajasthan, Haryana, Maharashtra and Karnataka. In Maharashtra, Shiv Sena, NCP, Congress have been hit, while Opposition BJP has won three out of six seats. BJP's winning candidates include Piyush Goyal, former minister Anil Bonde and Dhananjay Mahadik.

Haryana : In Haryana, elections were held on a total of two seats, with the BJP winning one seat and the pro-BJP Independent one. Congress candidate Ajay Maken lost.
