Big blow to BJP in Rajasthan: MLA Shobharani cross-votes, party suspends

In the Rajya Sabha elections held in Rajasthan for 4 seats, it was claimed that the Congress would get a big tweak from cross-voting but on the contrary, cross-voting has taken place in the BJP itself. BJP's Dhaulpur MLA Shobharani Kushwaha had cross-voted. The party has suspended him and demanded a reply within 7 days. BJP supporter Subhash Chandra also lost the election. He also claimed the support of Congress MLAs. The election of these 4 Rajya Sabha seats in Rajasthan has seen what the Congress has claimed.

Dholpur BJP MLA Shobhara Kushwaha has done cross-voting. Shobharani Kushwaha has voted for Congress candidate Pramod Tiwari. The BJP also believed that something was wrong with Shobharani's vote. Shobharani's husband BL Kushwaha is currently lodged in jail. Besides, BJP MLA Siddhi Kumari is also skeptical about the vote. He has voted for agents other than his authorized agent.

Notably, all the three Congress candidates won the elections for 4 Rajya Sabha seats in Rajasthan. Three Congress candidates Mukul Wasnik, Randeep Singh Surjewala and Pramod Tiwari have won the Rajya Sabha elections. In which one seat has gone to BJP's account. BJP candidate Ghanshyam Tiwari has won. While BJP-backed independent candidate Subhash Chandra lost the election. There were 5 candidates in the fray in this election. The main contest was between Congress candidate Pramod Tiwari and independent Subhash Chandra. Apart from this, Chandra needed 8 votes to win.

According to the tally, Congress candidate Randeep Surjewala got 43 votes, Mukul Wasnik got 42 votes and third place Congress candidate Pramod Tiwari got 41 votes. BJP candidate Ghanshyam Tiwari got 43 votes. Independent candidate Subhash Chandra got 30 votes. Congress got a total of 126 votes. What Congress has claimed has happened.
