Army personnel on duty at the Chinese border in Arunachal Pradesh have been missing for 12 days

An Indian Army soldier on duty at the Chinese border in Arunachal Pradesh has been missing for 12 days and is now a source of concern for the family as well as the government.

Prakash Singh Rana of Dehradun is in the 7th Garhwal Rifles and his deployment is on the Arunachal Pradesh border.

"On May 29, I was told by an officer of his battalion that Prakash Singh was missing," said Prakash Singh's wife.

Meanwhile, the family has been told by the government that a search operation is underway to find the jawan and the defense ministry has appealed to the family to be patient. Prakash Singh has two children, including 10-year-old Anuj and seven-year-old Anamika.
