Ambani-Adani favors Congress-ruled Rajasthan, prepares for Rs 1.68 lakh crore investment

All Congress leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, use the names of Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani to target the Narendra Modi government at the Center. This government has been accused by Congressmen of being an Ambani-Adani government. The biggest investment proposals received by the Ashok Gehlot-led Congress government in Rajasthan under 'Invest Rajasthan' include those of Gautam Adani-led Adani Group and Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries Limited.

Both the corporate houses have pledged to invest more than Rs 1.68 lakh crore in Letters of Intent (LOI) / MOU between December 2021 and March 2022. That is about 18 per cent of Rs 9,40,453 crore.

However, former Congress president Rahul Gandhi has accused the BJP government at the Center of crony capitalism. He described Adani and Ambani in the Lok Sabha in February as "double A variants" of the failing Indian economy. Earlier, he had made similar sarcasm at the BJP-led government at the Center.
