Ukraine-Russia ceasefire possible: Zelensky hints at direct talks with Putin

The possibility of an end to the ongoing Ukraine-Russia war is being expressed one more time. Ukrainian President Zelensky has signaled his readiness to hold direct talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, signaling his acceptance of Russia's terms. Ukraine has shown readiness to do so, including leaving NATO membership.
Ukrainian President Zelensky has indicated his readiness to reach an agreement with Russia. But Zelensky has made it a condition of direct talks with Russian President Putin. Zelensky said direct talks with the Russian leader were necessary to end the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine. Their direct decision will end the war. For that, Zelensky showed readiness to grant independence to the eastern regions, as well as to comply with Russia's condition of non-NATO membership.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, on the other hand, said direct talks with Putin would be possible only if Ukraine agreed to Russia's terms. Once the negotiations seem to be resolved, there will be direct talks between the two presidents. Otherwise, Putin will not have direct talks with Zelensky.
Negotiations are underway between the two countries and Russia-Ukraine representatives will hold talks in Istanbul on the 7th. Turkey was ready to mediate between the two countries. As part of this, talks will be held between the representatives of the two countries.
Meanwhile, G-7 representatives rejected Russia's offer to exchange rubles for Russian energy. Germany's energy minister said the G7 delegation had decided that Russia's demand for payment in its currency in exchange for energy was not appropriate. Payment will be made in dollars as it was made in dollars.
On the other hand, the UAE Energy Minister appealed to the OPEC countries to unite and support Russia. Russia is the largest producer of crude, said Sohail-al-Mazrou, the UAE's energy minister. OPEC countries should put global politics aside and think in the interest of the world. If Russian crude is not available, there will be a huge shortage of crude in the world. Russia cannot function without crude and no other country can replace Russia.
