Canada's move to ban swastika, a sacred symbol of Hindus, angers Hindus

Controversy has erupted over the government of Justin Trudeau of Canada now preparing to ban the swastika, the sacred symbol of Hindus.

A bill has been introduced in the Canadian Parliament to provoke Indians living in Canada. Proponents of Canada's New Democratic Party leader Jagmeet Singh have introduced a bill to ban swastikas.

Earlier in the day, Jagmeet Singh had tweeted that the swastika and the RSS flag had no place in Canada.

Toronto-based Indian diplomats, meanwhile, say the issue has been discussed with the Canadian government.

Lawyer Ragini Sharma says that the sacred symbol of Hindus is Swastika and the symbol of Nazis is different.

People of Indian descent also rallied in support of the swastika in a Canadian city.
