Politics is hot in Uttar Pradesh before the Assembly elections. Bhim Army Chief Chandrasekhar Azad has announced to contest the elections. He will contest from Gorakhpur Sadar. Yogi Adityanath has also announced to contest from here. This situation will see an interesting contest between Chandrasekhar and Yogi in the coming elections.

Radha Mohandas Agarwal of BJP won from Gorakhpur Sadar in the year 2017 by a margin of 60 thousand votes. This seat has been held by BJP since 1989. Earlier, Chandrasekhar had gone to form an alliance with the SP but later withdrew from the alliance with the Samajwadi Party.

Chandrasekhar Azad said that Akhilesh Yadav does not need the votes of Dalits, that is why SP and Azad Samaj Party will not form an alliance. "We will fight the elections on our own and for those for whom we have agitated on the streets, eaten sticks, gone to jail, we will appeal to the public to give new people a chance," he added.
