Drone-missile attack kills 2 Indians at Abu Dhabi airport, now Saudi and UAE forces retaliate

Dubai, Ta. 18. January 2022 Tuesday

The coalition forces of the UAE and Saudi Arabia have avenged a drone and missile attack on the UAE capital Abu Dhabi airport.

On Monday, pro-Iranian rebels attacked the Abu Dhabi airport with drones and missiles, setting the airport on fire and destroying three fuel tankers, killing three people, including two Indian nationals, and injuring six others.

Police have blamed the drone strike on the airport. The UAE called the attack a "terrorist attack" and said the perpetrators would not be released. General Abdullah was Qasim.

The Houthi rebels occupy large parts of Yemen, while Saudi Arabia and the UAE are fighting to retake the country from the rebels and restore a recognized government.
