Two men were arrested for threatening to blow up 100 temples

MUMBAI: Police have nabbed two men who threatened to blow up the famous Vaijnath temple in Parbi in Beed district with an RDX bomb.

After further investigation by the police, he said that indeed a person in his name had written such letters threatening the temple trustees. The man has threatened to bomb about 100 temples in his name. The details came out and the police are conducting an exercise to nab the original accused.

According to further details, the trustees of Parbi Vaijnath temple received such threatening letters on Friday and the trustees of Ambjogai temple in Beed on Saturday. The intimidator said that the temple trust had a lot of money and if they were not paid Rs 50 lakh, the temple would be bombed with the help of RDS.

The security forces became alert as soon as the temples received such threats. Police arrested the man who was threatened in the case and another person in the case. Strict interrogation of the two, he said that the threat was actually made by another person.

In the wake of a land dispute, the person concerned has hatched this conspiracy to seduce me and in fact this person has sent such threatening letters to about 100 temples. After receiving such information, the police have stepped up their efforts to nab the person concerned, an official said. Police, however, declined to comment further.
