Shitalhar in Kashmir, temperature in Srinagar minus 4.5 degrees



Life in Kashmir has been disrupted since the onset of the cold snap. The mercury in Srinagar had reached minus 4.2 degrees. Pahalgam recorded minus 4.1, Gulmarg minus 1, Kupwaha minus 7.2 and Kokarnag minus 7.5. Temperatures dipped below zero in most parts of Jammu and Kashmir. With the average temperature dropping in the last four hours, the whole of Kashmir experienced a cold snap. It disrupted public life in Kashmir.
The first snowfall of the season fell in the hilly areas of Uttarakhand. Snow fell in Kedarnath and Chamoli. It was snowing in Nanda Devi National Park. There was light snowfall in the valley of flowers in Chamoli district. In addition, the temperature dropped across the state. Significant drop in average temperature was observed in Dehradun, Mukteshwar etc.
