Britain's finance minister, Rishi Sunke, has announced a 1 billion package as growing cases of Corona's Omicron variant affect some businesses in the coming weeks. Each unit involved in Britain's hospitality and leisure sector will receive 5,000.

Pre-bookings at many restaurants are being canceled. The pre-Christmas festivities have reduced the crowds seen in the days leading up to the festival. Many businesses have 20 to 30 percent less business than they normally would.

According to sources, two lakh units will be covered under the funds announced by the government and assistance will be paid to them.

"We are aware that the omicon variant of the Corona will cause significant damage to the hospitality sector," Sunk said in a statement. With that in mind we have decided to help them. One billion pounds has been allocated for this.

It is to be mentioned that last year also the packages for various sectors were announced by the British government following the Corona epidemic. The British people are being cautious despite the growing number of cases of Omicron in the wake of Christmas. Due to which the hospitality sector has been badly affected.
