In the days of Indira-Rajiv we had the freedom to protest: Azad

Ghulam Nabi rejected speculation of forming a separate party

Today's Congress high command has even taken away our right to speak

Srinagar: Ghulam Nabi Azad, one of the disgruntled G-23 leaders of the Congress, today lashed out at Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, saying that the Congress High Command had taken away our right to speak and objected. There is no freedom to do.

Praising the Congress of Indira Gandhi's and Rajiv Gandhi's time, Azad said that these two senior leaders had given the people in the party complete freedom to raise objections and ask questions. He was also playful in accepting criticism but today's Congress high command considers criticism bad.

Gulanbi Azad, who has been trumpeting against the Congress High Command, said that he had no intention of forming a separate party, though no one could say when it would happen in politics. Asked if he would form a separate party in Jammu and Kashmir, he said, "No, there is no such thing." In the last two years, the connection between the Congress and the people of Jammu and Kashmir has been severed.

He also questioned the present leadership of the Congress, saying that in the days of Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi, we had complete freedom to object or protest, and if something went wrong, we were allowed to question it. He never considered criticism to be wrong, but today the Congress High Command considers criticism to be bad.

All those who have left the Congress want to work under my leadership but at this age I do not want to work as the President of the Jammu and Kashmir Congress. "I thought of quitting politics but I am still active in politics because of my own people," Azad said.
