The Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur has made history. IIT, Kharagpur said in a statement that it has received the highest number of placement offers in the history of IITs this year. The maximum package is Rs 5 to 2.50 crore per year.

IIT, Kharagpur received more than 1,100 placement offers, a statement said. Despite the epidemic, IIT, Kharagpur has received an unusual number of pre-placement offers. Which is the highest among all the other top higher education institutions in India.

In addition, students of IIT, Kharagpur have received 3 international offers from various companies. A statement issued by IIT, Kharagpur said the two leading companies had made two offers of Rs 2-3 crore per annum package.

IIT, Kharagpur said that so far we have received more than 50 offers of more than one crore rupees. Recruiters include large companies such as Qualcomm, Microsoft, Google, Uber, Intel, American Express, Honeywell, Samsung and IBM.

The placement at IIT, Kharagpur lasted for three days. A spokesperson of IIT, Kharagpur said that more than 100 companies from all sectors were involved in the recruitment process. Companies from the fields like software, analytics, consulting, core engineering, baking, finance participated.
