Hearing of petition against DMRC in Delhi High Court today

(PTI) New delhi date. 3

The Delhi High Court will tomorrow hear an application filed by Delhi Airport Metro Express Pvt Ltd (DAMEPL) against the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation seeking execution of a Rs 200 crore abrital order.

The RG will be heard by Justice Sureshkumar Kait, who issued the notice on the September application of Reliance Infrastructure Subsidiary.

The apex court had recently rejected the DMRC's plea seeking a review of the 2016 arbitral judgment in favor of DAMEPL.

The apex court had on September 3 upheld the judgment against the DMRC, adding that it was a disturbing fact that the court had overturned the arbitral tribunal.

The apex court had quashed the judgment of a division bench of the high court in favor of DAMEPL.

The arbitral tribunal accepted DAMEPL's claim in its May 2013 judgment. DAMEPLA claimed that it was not advisable to start operation on this line due to malfunction.
