Supreme Court upholds CBSE and CISCE std. The board has rejected the application demanding to take hybrid mode (both offline and online) instead of taking only 10 and Std. 12 board exams. The Supreme Court told the petitioners not to try to create a mess in the education system.

"It is not appropriate to change the examination system at the last minute and we do not want to interfere in the entire examination process at this time," the apex court said.

A bench comprising Justice AM Khanwilkar and Justice CT Ravikumar said that the first term board examination of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has started from November 15 while the first examination of Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CIE) has been conducted. Starting from November.

Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, appearing on behalf of CBSE, said that all precautions have been taken to conduct the offline examination. The number of examination centers has been increased from 200 to 15,000.

Six students had filed an application demanding that CBSE and CISCE be directed to conduct board exams in hybrid mode (both offline and online) instead of just taking them offline.
