The government had to repeal all three agricultural laws: the victory of the farmers

New Delhi, Dt
Addressing the nation on Prakash Parva Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi finally announced the repeal of the three controversial agricultural laws after the deaths of more than 200 agitating farmers in the last one year. In a state of mourning over the announcement, the Prime Minister apologized to the country and said that we could not explain to the farmers. Our Danak was very good and holy, but we could not explain this to a class of farmers. Maybe there is something wrong with our penance. Our government has taken all major decisions for the benefit of agriculture and farmers. The Prime Minister also listed a number of major decisions taken by his government in the interest of farmers before announcing the repeal of agricultural laws. He also announced the formation of a committee to consider MSP related issues.
In his address to the nation on the occasion of Guru Nan Jayanti, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the withdrawal of controversial agricultural laws and urged the agitating farmers and agricultural organizations to end their agitation and return home. The Prime Minister said that the constitutional process for repealing these laws would be completed in the winter session of Parliament.
Prime Minister Modi's decision has also come as a relief to the BJP, which has been facing strong opposition to the agriculture law, mostly in Punjab, western Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. Assembly elections are to be held in Punjab and Uttar Pradesh next year. Therefore, the BJP now hopes that this decision of the central government will alleviate the resentment of farmers in Punjab and Uttar Pradesh.
His government has taken a number of steps in the last seven years for the welfare of farmers and the agricultural sector since Prime Minister Modi announced the repeal of the Agriculture Act. We have worked at all four levels - seed, insurance, market and savings - to address the problems of farmers. The old rules of compensating farmers also changed. As a result, in the last four years, the farmer brothers and sisters have received compensation of more than one lakh crore rupees.
"When I was given the opportunity to serve the nation in 2014, the government gave top priority to the agriculture sector and the welfare of farmers," the Prime Minister said in his national address. The government, on the other hand, failed to explain the value of this agricultural law to a section of farmers. The government also proposed to keep the agriculture law pending for two years and to amend the objectionable provisions in the law, but it was not possible. So it was finally decided to withdraw the law.
"We have not only increased the minimum support purchase prices but also the number of government procurement centers for (grain) procurement," he added. Moreover, government purchases have broken the record of the last several decades. These three agricultural laws were introduced in the country as part of the 'Maha Abhiyan' to improve the condition of farmers. The aim was to empower and empower farmers, especially small farmers. It was to see if they could get a fair price for their produce, and get maximum options to sell their produce. ' He said the Prime Minister had defended the law but it was met with strong opposition from farmers and especially in and around Delhi and its border areas.
The Prime Minister said that in fact farmers, agronomists, and farmers' associations have been demanding reforms in the agricultural sector for a long time. Even before this, many governments had struggled in this regard. This time too there was a lot of fuss in Parliament. The law was also welcomed by many farmers' organizations in different parts of the country. However, this is not the day to blame anyone. Let us be committed again for the welfare of the farmers. ' The Prime Minister also urged the agitating farmers to return to their homes on Guru Parva. Return to your farms and go among your family. Let's make a fresh start.
