Rs. 12 crore heroin seized

One of the two fleeing thugs was injured in a police shooting

Diphu (Assam): Police on Wednesday seized heroin worth Rs 12 crore from two miscreants in Assam's Karbi Anglong district. As one of them was about to flee, a rogue was shot by police in an attempt to stop him.

પોલીસ સ્ટાફે ખોટખોટી વિસ્તારમાં તપાસ દરમિયાન મોટરસાયકલ પર જઇ રહેલા બે જણને અટકાવ્યા હતા. Police found 1.77 kilograms of heroin in 150 barrels of soap while searching for the two bikers.

This quantity was to be delivered to the Sarupathar-based agents of Golaghat district. પોલીસ બંને આરોપીઓને પોલીસ-વાહનમાં બેસાડવા માટે લઇ જઇ રહી હતી ત્યારે એક આરોપીએ ભાગવાનો પ્રયત્ન કરતા પોલીસે એને રોકવાના પ્રયાસરૂપે ગોળીબાર કરતા એ ઘાયલ થયો હતો. He was admitted to a local hospital for treatment.
