In this regard, a senior health official from Kanpur said that a campaign has been launched to take blood samples from the areas where the disease seems to be most prevalent.

Giving more information to reporters, the health department official said that according to the latest census, a total of 108 cases of Zika patients have been found. In the new case, it involves 3 men and 3 women. Two of these women are in the advanced stages of pregnancy. The AP center of the Zika virus is located in the Chakeri area. It was there that the two pregnant women were found to be in Zika. Her fetus has also been tested with ultrasonic sound. One such woman lives in Chakeri area. On the other side is a resident of Kanauj district.

The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Kanpur, Dr. Nepal Singh said 12 new patients have been found in Harjinder Nagar, Pokharpur, Tiwaripur Bagiya and Kazi Khera. All these areas are located in Chakeri. The fetuses of pregnant women were examined with ultrasonic sound. And their fetuses have been found to be healthy.

According to reports received from KGMU Lucknow on Tuesday, 3 women and 2 men, including two pregnant women, have been confirmed to be infected with Zika. However, they do not yet have acute symptoms of the disease. Yet they are kept in isolation.

The Zika virus is transmitted by mosquitoes, so about 100 teams have been deployed to sanitize mosquito breeding grounds. 16 teams are taking blood samples from house to house again. In addition, 12 Rapid Response Teams (RRTs) are being deployed to prevent the spread of the Zika virus. Even so, the CMO said. He further said that pregnant women have been asked to report any problem to the control room immediately.
