Naxals who killed 25 soldiers in 2017 are on their knees

Dantewada: Security has been beefed up in Chhattisgarh and police have launched a crackdown on Naxals. According to PTI, in a clash in Dantewada on Sunday, security forces encountered three women Naxalites who had announced a bounty of Rs five lakh each. The operation started at around 6 pm in the forest area here.

Police and Naxals came face to face while a team was conducting an investigation. The police official said three women Naxalites were killed during the confrontation. The three women were members of the Naxalite Katekalyan Kshetra Samiti.

Security forces seized a 12-bore gun, two home-made revolvers, a machete loading gun and two IEDs, wires and Maoist literature from the scene. On the other hand, 14 Naxalites had surrendered in the same Dantewada.

Police said one of the Naxals was involved in the attack in which 25 Naxals were killed in 2017. The Naxals surrendered in front of the police officers. The Naxals said they were disappointed with the hollow ideology of the Maoists.

Sana Markam, a 21-year-old Naxalite, was involved in the 2017 blasts. At that time, the Naxals had killed the jawans in a big blast in Sukma district. After the attack, a large-scale operation was launched to eliminate the Naxals and attempts were made to surrender.
