Controversy comparing Hindutva ideology with IS and Boko Haram

- Criticism of Hindutva in Salman Khurshid's offensive book

- There is no difference between Hindutva politicians and IS ideology: Khurshid's statement

New Delhi: A controversy has erupted over a book by Congress leader Salman Khurshid. In this book, Salman Khurshid called the ideology of Hindutva dangerous. In his book Sunrise Over Ayodhya, Salman Khurshid expressed his views on Hindustan. He, meanwhile, compared Hindutva to Boko Haram and ISIS.

Salman Khurshid has said in his book that Hindutva is separating the equality of saints and the ancient Hindu religion. Which in every way is similar to the terrorist organization IS and jihadi Islamic organizations like Boko Haram. He also praised Hinduism and said that Hinduism is a very high level religion. For which there can be nothing more than the inspiration given by Mahatma Gandhi. If someone puts a new label in it, why should I consider it? If anyone insults religion, I will speak. IS is wrong just as the politicians of Hindutva are wrong.

Salman Khurshid further writes that my own party Congress mostly turns to the issue that there is a section in the Congress which regrets that our impression is of a pro-minority party. This class only advocates Janoidharis. He said about the decision taken at Ayodhya that now a grand Ram temple should be built at this place. He lauded the judgment of the Supreme Court on Ayodhya. Reacting to Salman Khurshid's book, BJP leader Gaurav Bhatia said that it shows the true mindset of the Congress. They are justifying the fundamentalist elements of IS by creating artificial similarities with Hindus.
