Ahmedabad's air is more toxic than Delhi's, the situation is even worse in Uttar Pradesh-Haryana

New Delhi, Dt
The level of air pollution in Delhi and surrounding areas has risen sharply. After Diwali, it has seen a tremendous increase. Not only that, the air level is getting worse day by day. Air pollution in Delhi-NCR is a hot topic from the Supreme Court to the political level. However, according to a recent report, the air in Ahmedabad is more toxic than in Delhi. At 9.00 am on Sunday in Ahmedabad, the level of AQI was more than 200, which is considered very serious.
According to a report, the increasing number of vehicles on the roads and the toxic fumes emitted from them are an important factor in the increase in air pollution. Another factor of pollution is wind speed. Since the wind does not blow, a very low level of thick toxic fumes form in our atmosphere and it cannot fly. This increases air pollution. According to the report of ACQIN, a website which monitors the level of pollution in the country, the level of pollution was recorded in Ahmedabad at 8.00 am. However, it declined significantly later in the day.
Pollution controversy has been raging in Delhi for some time now. Rising pollution in the capital and surrounding areas has forced the government to close schools and colleges in Delhi and Haryana, as well as many industrial activities in Delhi, including construction. The Supreme Court has also angered state and central government officials over rising pollution levels.
However, air quality and visibility have improved in Delhi on Sunday due to wind speed. However, the schools will remain closed till further orders on air pollution review, sources said. Officials said Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai would on Monday review the steps taken to reduce the high level of pollution in the city.
On Sunday, pollutant particles were removed from the air blowing at a speed of 20 km per hour in the city and visibility was improved. Air quality is expected to improve slightly in the next two days from the extremely poor category.
Despite the improvement in air quality in Delhi, the pollution level in many areas was recorded in the critical category at 9.00 am on Sunday. The level of AQI was 21 in Narela of Delhi, 303 in Bawana, 3 in Mundka and 3 in Anand Vihar. The air pollution situation in Uttar Pradesh and Haryana is also very bad. In Vasundhara of Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh, AQI2, 209 were recorded in Loni area, while in Faridabad of Haryana, 206 were recorded, in Gurugram 20, and in Charkhi Dadri 20.
