Within 24 hours, Sonia Gandhi's order was broken: Sidhu wrote a four-page paper

New Delhi: Punjab Congress president Navjot Singh Sidhu has written a letter to Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi. The day before, Sonia Gandhi had instructed the Congress leaders to speak to the media instead of talking to them, but Sidhu had violated the instruction less than twenty-four hours ago.

Sidhu has shared the letter written to Sonia Gandhi on social media. In this four-page letter, Sidhu has raised 13 issues. Along with that it has sought to be included in the 2022 election manifesto. At the same time, he has asked for time to meet Sonia Gandhi.

In a letter to Sonia Gandhi, Sidhu said there was a time when Punjab was the richest state in the country, today it is the most indebted state. Borrowing has to be done every year to meet the needs like health, education and infrastructure.

More than one lakh government posts are vacant in Punjab. State teachers have been working on the minimum wage for four years. The Sixth Wage Commission is being implemented five years late. "I have always believed in empowering the poor and giving a chance to those who stand last in the line, but there are powerful people in front of me, they are connected with the mafia and running the state," Sidhu wrote. He wrote that the 18-point agenda was set in the 2014 election campaign and manifesto. That should be met by the government.

In the letter written by Sidhu, 13 points were the main ones. In it, Gurugrath Sahib is insulted and the people behind the police firing in Kotakpura and Bahbal Kala are traced and action is taken against them. The entire generation of Punjab is facing intoxication. Strict action is needed to resolve it. The big fish mentioned by STF behind drug smuggling in Punjab should be caught and punished immediately.

Opposing the three agricultural laws, the Punjab government should say that it will never implement them. Homes should be provided with cheap electricity round the clock. They should charge Rs 5 per unit or provide 300 units of free electricity per month. Given the state of coal in the country, Punjab should move towards a cheaper, smarter and more efficient PPA. Along with that cheap solar energy should be looked at. Thousands of vacant government posts should be filled in the state. The demands of the 30 protesting unions should be heard. Industrialization is rapidly declining in Punjab. Companies are fleeing to other states because of the mafia rule. Economic reforms should therefore be implemented immediately. Along with that, attention should be paid to employment generating opportunities.
