WhatsApp closed accounts of 3 million Indians in August




Messenger app WhatsApp closed 3 million Indian accounts in August alone. The company said that WhatsApp was being misused from these numbers. This step is taken to prevent online abuse. Earlier, action was taken against 3 million accounts in June-July.
According to the Messenger app, 3 million Indian accounts were blocked in August. Spam messages were complained against 5% of the numbers from this account. Action was taken on that basis. According to the company, the action was taken because the online platform was being used unfairly. According to the company, 30 complaints were received. Eight of these appeals were for a ban. The company banned a total of 3 million accounts worldwide during August.
Earlier, action was taken against 3 million accounts during June-July. The company said in an official statement that the move was aimed at giving users a better experience and preventing the misuse of the online messaging app. Using an automatic tool was banned.
Facebook also took action against 30 million posts in India. In August, Facebook took action against 2.18 crore content. According to the company, steps were taken in 10 different categories. Facebook took action against 25 million content in the country between June 15 and July 31.
