The main accused of committing violence against Hindus was arrested in Bangladesh


Dhaka: The mastermind of an attack on Hindus in Bangladesh has been arrested. Bangladesh's security agencies have launched an investigation into the attacker, identified as Iqbal Hussein.

There were attacks on Hindus in the Durga Puja pandal. As many as 20 houses were destroyed in the violence and another 65 were damaged. Bangladeshi police have arrested mastermind Iqbal Hussain in the case.

He was arrested in Cox's Bazar Beach, police said. He was interrogated by officials from various security agencies in Bangladesh. A police statement said the main accused in the violence would be produced in court and remand sought. It will then be investigated by various agencies. Efforts will be made to reach the cause of the violence and the victims will get justice.
