The ED arrested Chandrasekhar and his actress wife Leena

The ED has arrested Sukesh Chandrasekhar and his actress wife in a money laundering case. The two were arrested by the Delhi Police, but the ED has taken them into custody and remanded them.
Sukesh Chandrasekhar has been implicated in several financial scandals. Delhi Police arrested Chandrasekhar and his actress wife Lina Maria Paul. The ED had inquired into both the hawala scam and the money laundering issue. The ED's probe had uncovered money laundering worth Rs 200 crore.
The ED has since arrested the two. The ED will present the two in a local court and seek remand for further questioning.
Earlier, the ED had raided Sukesh Chandrasekhar. In which cash amount of Rs 3.5 lakh was seized. Also seized were dozens of luxurious cars.
According to ED, Chandrasekhar is the mastermind of the entire economic scam. The ED's preliminary investigation also revealed that he had been involved in financial scams since the age of 18. Several police complaints of fraud have been lodged against him in the past.
