Speculation about Amarinder's new party announcement today

Former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh is expected to announce his new political party on Wednesday. Amarinder Singh said last week that he would soon announce his new party and hoped that some solution would come in favor of the farmers who were protesting against the agricultural laws and he would form an alliance with the BJP. Amarinder has expressed the expectation that like-minded leaders from the Akali Dal will join him. Amarinder Singh, a two-time Chief Minister of Punjab, said he would not sit idly by until the future of the people of Punjab and the state was secured. However, Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhjinder Randhawa said it would be a big mistake for Amarinder Singh to form a new party.
