Rainy weather in Delhi-NCR, IMD alert in these states including UP-Punjab

The climate is changing in many states of North India. The meteorological department has forecast rains in several parts of the national capital Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan today (Sunday). Some areas of the national capital received light to moderate rains on Sunday morning. The meteorological department has issued an orange alert for rains in Delhi. While light to moderate rain is forecast for the next 2 days.

The meteorological department has forecast light to moderate rains in Delhi, Gurugram, Ghaziabad, Noida, Modinagar, Indrapuram, Najibabad, Shamli, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Kithaur, Amroha, Bijnor, Hapud, Bhiwani, Rohtak, Panipat and adjoining areas.

In the national capital, Delhi, the rains have eased the heat and the temperature has dropped. Rains are likely to continue in most parts of the NCR, including Delhi, Noida and Greater Noida, the meteorological department said.

The weather has also changed in many parts of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. According to the meteorological department, Gohana, Gannaur, Jind, Palwal, Aurangabad, Sonipat, Nooh, Sohana, Manesar in Haryana while Mathura, Hathras, Naraura, Shamli, Barut, Khurja, Barsana, Nandgaon, Bulandshahr and around Bulandshahr in UP. Rainfall is forecast in a few hours. Apart from that, rains are also expected in many districts of Rajasthan.

The maximum temperature in Delhi will be around 32 to 33 degrees and the minimum around 18 degrees till October 22. The temperature will start to feel cold in the next 8 days.

Rains and floods in Kerala have caused severe damage and 6 people have died so far. About a dozen districts in the state have been affected by the floods.
