Petrol-diesel is 33 per cent more expensive than ATF, the fuel used in aircraft


For the fourth day in a row, both petrol and diesel have been increased by 35 paise

New Delhi: Petrol and diesel prices were hiked by 35 paise for the fourth day in a row today. As a result, petrol and diesel prices have reached new heights across the country. At the same time, the price of petrol and diesel is 33 per cent higher than that of aviation turbine fuel (ATF) used in aircraft.

The price of a kiloliter ATF in Delhi is Rs 79. Diesel prices have been hiked by a total of Rs 5.95 per liter since September 24. On the other hand, petrol prices have been hiked by a total of Rs 4.65 per liter since September 28.

At the same time, the price of petrol has crossed Rs 100 in all the state capitals. Diesel prices have crossed Rs 100 in more than 12 states. Diesel prices have also crossed Rs 100 in Bengaluru, Daman and Silvassa.

After today's hike, the price of a liter of petrol in Delhi has gone up to Rs 105.84 and a liter of diesel to Rs 94.57. In Mumbai, on the other hand, the price of a liter of petrol has gone up to Rs 111.77 and a liter of diesel to Rs 102.52.

Diesel prices have been hiked for the 19th time and petrol for the 16th time since September 24. In most parts of the country, the price of petrol has gone up to over Rs 100. Now the price of diesel has crossed Rs 100 in 12 states.

These 12 states include Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Kerala, Karnataka and Leh. There was no change in petrol and diesel prices on October 12 and 13.

Petrol and diesel prices vary from state to state as VAT rates vary from state to state. International crude oil prices rose to 84 84.80.
