I want to ask them if they have become so obsessed that they need to use my name for their political purposes.

Referring to the removal of Amarinder Singh from the post of Chief Minister shortly before the Assembly elections, he questioned who would replace his commander-in-chief in the midst of the war. Arusha's report on the August 30 submarine deal was controversial, which led to the arrest of then-Pakistan Navy chief Mansoorul Haque in 2012. Arusa Alam had earlier also been accused of having an affair with Amarinder.
Last week, Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa said the alleged involvement of Amarinder Singh's Pakistani friend Arusha Alam with the ISI would be investigated. Reacting to the attack on Randhawa, Captain Amarinder's media adviser Ravin Thukral said that Arusha Alam had been coming to India for 18 years with the permission of the Central Government.
