Opposition in Uttar Pradesh's Lakhimpur Khiri has taken a stern stance against Union Home Minister Ajay Mishra's son Ashish in protest against the incident in which four farmers were killed in a car attack on protesting farmers. Ajay Mishra claimed that his son was not in the car at the time of the incident.

Ashish Mishra, on the other hand, denied all the allegations against him, saying that an FIR had been lodged against him even though he was not present at the spot.
