Jammu and Kashmir has been witnessing a rise in terrorist incidents in the last few days. Apart from that, many ordinary Kashmiri civilians have also been killed. In the midst of all this, Anees-ul-Islam, the grandson of Syed Ali Shah Geelani, has been sacked from his government job by the Jammu and Kashmir administration in a landmark decision.

Anees-ul-Islam Sher in Jammu and Kashmir was working as a research officer at the Kashmir International Conference. However it has now been terminated from that service. Apart from that, Farooq Ahmed Bhatt, a teacher at a school in Doda, Jammu and Kashmir, has also been sacked. His brother Mohammad Amin Bhatt is an active LeT militant who was operating from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. It is learned that Farooq was planning to carry out a terrorist attack at the behest of his brother.

It is learned that the Jammu and Kashmir administration has dismissed both Anees and Farooq under Article 311 of the Constitution. No clear reason has been given by the administration yet but both Anees and Farooq were accused of encouraging terrorist activities. That is why these drastic measures have been taken against both.

Separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Gilani died on September 1. Following Gilani's death, there was speculation of widespread violence in the valley. However, there was no violence following the administration and the army's activism and the Hurriyat leader was handed over to the Hurriyat peacefully.

There was no violence at the time but the situation has changed since October. Terrorist activities are on the rise and many ordinary Kashmiris have been killed. The condition of the valley in Teva is looking very tense. Many members of the minority community have even been forced to flee to Jammu.
