IS attack on Shia village in Iraq, killing 11

Baghdad: A village in Baghdad, Iraq was attacked by IS terrorists. In which 11 civilians were killed. While six others were injured in the attack. The attack targeted Shia Muslims.

The Iraqi police and security department said the attack was carried out on a Shiite village. The militants first abducted two villagers and later demanded money to release them. However, their demands were not met and they later attacked other villagers.

A machine gun was used for the attack. Everyone who is injured or killed is a citizen. It was claimed that the elimination of IS was called in 2014. After which attacks on civilians by IS decreased. However, now its proportion is increasing. Earlier, in July, a bomb blast near the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, killed at least 40 people. In January this year, eight civilians were killed in the attack.
