Petrol-diesel prices are not likely to come down in the near future

New Delhi: For the second day in a row, both petrol and diesel prices have been hiked by 35 paise today. In Mumbai, the price of a liter of petrol has gone up to Rs 114.14 and a liter of diesel to Rs 105.12.

In Delhi, on the other hand, petrol price has gone up by Rs 108.29 per liter and diesel by Rs 97.02 per liter, according to a price notification issued by oil marketing companies.

In the last one month, diesel prices have gone up by Rs 7.45 and petrol by Rs 6.90. On September 28, petrol was priced at Rs 101.39 and diesel at Rs 89.57 in Delhi.

In the last one month, the price of crude has risen by 80 80 and crossed 85 85. On September 28, a liter of petrol was priced at Rs 98.51 and diesel at Rs 89.98 in Lucknow. In Lucknow, petrol price has been hiked to Rs 105.22 and diesel to Rs 97.48 today.

The change in petrol and diesel prices on a daily basis comes into effect from 6 am. VAT on petrol and diesel varies from state to state. Rajasthan has the highest VAT on petrol in the country.
