China pollutes Arunachal Pradesh's Kameng river water: Thousands of fish die

Thousands of fish died suddenly in the Kameng river in East Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh. Locals suspected that China had done something mysterious in the border river. The water check revealed that the TDS in the river had risen overnight.
The Kameng river in Arunachal Pradesh was polluted. Thousands of fish died as a result of China mixing some mysterious elements into the border river. Arunachal Pradesh Fisheries Department officials reached the spot and investigated. It was found that the amount of Total Dissolved Substances (TDS) in the river water increased overnight. There are many reasons behind this.
The color of the river water suddenly changed. The river water had turned black. The possibility of any contaminated liquid being mixed in it cannot be ruled out. Or even if China dumped construction waste in the border area into the river, it is likely to have blackened the river.
Pollution may also be responsible for the increase in TDS in the river. If a chemical-laden liquid or solid is mixed in the river, it can increase the level of TDS in the river water. The locals firmly believe that China is responsible for this. Locals said the river was being polluted due to constructions on the Chinese border. China is deliberately mixing pollution in the river that flows into India.
According to the investigation, the amount of TDS in the river water was 200 mg per liter. Normally the proportion was recorded as 300 to 1500 millimeters.

The district collector issued a notice with immediate effect advising people not to fish. The government had also instructed not to take fish from the river in the diet for some time. Fisheries officials are testing a fish sample. It is being investigated whether any toxic substance is present in it.
MLA Tapuk Taku had appealed to the central government that it has become necessary for a committee of central experts to investigate the water of this river. The MLA also expressed concern that if something poisonous substance was mixed, thousands of lives would be in danger.
