BJP will remain powerful for decades, Rahul Gandhi digs false FIFA: Prashant Kishor

The opposition will have to fight for decades to defeat the BJP

Advise Rahul Gandhi not to be under the illusion that people will throw Modi out of power and the Modi era will come to an end

Kolkata: An election strategist, Prashant Kishor, during his visit to Goa, rekindled the country's politics by predicting the BJP.

The teenager had also slammed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for not understanding the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said the BJP would remain a powerful party in Indian politics for decades to come. To defeat the BJP, its rival parties will have to fight for decades, Kishore added.

Kishore, the CEO of the poll consultancy firm Indian Politics Action Committee (IPAC), lashed out at Rahul Gandhi, saying he should not be under the illusion of removing Narendra Modi from power.

He added that waiting for the end of the Modi era would be a big mistake for Rahul Gandhi. The statement was made by Prashant Kishor just as West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was on her way to Goa for election campaign on Thursday. Prashant Kishore himself is currently in Goa.

It may be recalled that Prashant Kishor had helped Mamata Banerjee's TMC party win a landslide victory in the Assembly elections held in Bengal earlier this year. Kishore said of the Congress that Rahul Gandhi was under the illusion that the end of the Modi era was just a matter of time.

However, he insisted that the BJP would remain in power at the Center for decades to come, whether it won or lost. "This is exactly the same thing as the Congress was in power at the Center for the first 40 years when the country became independent," he said.

He said there was no need to be under the illusion that people were frustrated and would throw Modi out of power. In fact, the problem is with Rahul Gandhi, as he may feel that it is only a matter of time before people throw Modi out of power, although this is not happening.
