Annual loss of Rs. 4.31 lakh crore due to road accidents in India

A report on socio-economic damage in road accidents has come up with shocking details. An accident research team of a company that manufactures spare parts for vehicles has prepared a report on the damage caused in road accidents by analyzing the statistics of road accidents in the last twenty years.

The study found that road accidents in India cause an annual socio-economic loss of between Rs 1.15 lakh crore and Rs 4.61 lakh crore. According to the Road Accident Sampling System of India, 2,91,9 vehicles were involved in accidents in 2016. That's a loss of ૫૭ 0.7 billion to 1.31 billion.

The Aligarh road accident has risen from eighth to third place in terms of deaths and injuries this year. Many roads here, including highways and GT roads, have become increasingly difficult for motorists. Every other day in this road accident someone dies.

The district has seen more road deaths in the last five years than murders and other incidents. There have been 11 road accidents here in the last ten years alone. In which 12 people have died.

So far this year, 4 people have died in 4 road accidents. While 3 people have been injured. Even negligence in wearing a helmet is costing people dearly. Due to which 3 two-wheeler drivers are pushed to the brink of death every year.
