RTPCR test also mandatory for passengers arriving in India on three flights from Britain: Government's special health team deployed at the airport

New Delhi: India has adopted a similar policy with Britain. 700 passengers from Britain to India were quarantined for 10 days. Not only that, all the mandatory RTPCR tests were done. Testing will be done even after the quarantine period is over.

Britain imposed strict rules for tourists from India. Passengers arriving in Britain after receiving the vaccine from India were not considered vaccinated. Not only that, they were told to quarantine and re-vaccinate. The Government of India proposed a waiver of these rules for citizens of other countries, but Britain maintained a strict stance.

Eventually, India adopted a similar policy. India implemented the new rule with a new notification. Accordingly, all tourists coming from Britain are required to stay in quarantine for 10 days. After that RTPCR test will be done at the airport and RTPCR test will be done again even after 10 days quarantine period. They will be released from quarantine only if the test is negative.

The new rule was implemented from the beginning of the week. Then three flights from Britain arrived in Delhi. 700 passengers came to India. All the passengers were quarantined for 10 days. The passengers include many British nationals in addition to Indian nationals.

A special health team from the central government has been deployed at the airport. This team monitors whether the new rules are being followed. Apart from that, India has also closed e-visa facilities to Britain and Canada. Travelers from the UK and Canada will need to obtain a regular stamp visa. India also retaliated as the two countries imposed stricter rules for passengers leaving India.
