60,000 crore loss in Indian market to China due to border crossings?

New Delhi, October 30, 2021, Saturday

The strained border relations between China and India have affected trade relations between the two countries. Thus, India imports more goods from China, but the boycott of Chinese goods has been on the rise for some time now. As a result of China's hostile moves on the border from Ladakh to Arunachal Pradesh, resentment against China is growing among Indians. Especially during festivals like Diwali, where Chinese goods are sold a lot, it has come down by Rs 30,000 crore. In this regard, the Confederation of All India Traders (CAT) said that the boycott of Chinese goods has benefited the economy from the sale of home-made goods.

Attempts to boycott Chinese goods have received a good response this year as well as last year. According to a source, the effect of Diwali can be seen from the tiger rains till the fifth day. Meanwhile, the turnover of various items ranging from fireworks to Rs 3 lakh crore is generated. There was a time when China used to get good exchange by dumping goods but now people are less interested in Chinese goods. The Confederation of All India Trades, known as CAT, which has been opposing Chinese goods, believes that this time around, China has received very few orders for goods.

Thus China does not believe in any religious festival or tradition but produces various things using the religious tradition of any country. Atheist China has also been selling pictures and frames of Indian deities so far. This year, China has lost Rs 2,000 crore during the Rakshabandhan festival and Rs 200 crore during the Ganesh festival. In the period from Rakshabandhan to Diwali, Indian traders used to take goods worth a total of Rs 20,000 crore from China, but now orders are declining sharply. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) had to bear the brunt of Chinese goods entering the market.
