50-75 per cent voting in by-elections of three Lok Sabha and 29 Assembly seats


New Delhi: A total of 90 to 75 per cent voting took place in the by-elections for three Lok Sabha and 29 Assembly seats in 13 states. Abhay Chautala, who resigned from the Haryana Legislative Assembly in protest of the Agriculture Act, and the late Congress. The fate of Pratibha Singh, wife of Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, has been captured.

Voting was peaceful in all the places and voting was done with vigilance of Kovid-18. The turnout in Lok Sabha constituency Dadra-Nagar Haveli was 75.51 per cent. Voting ends at 7 p.m.

In Himachal Pradesh, where Mandi Pratibha Singh is contesting from Mandi Lok Sabha seat, the lowest turnout was 49.83 per cent. He is standing against BJP's Kushal Singh Thakur. The heroes of the Kargil war are trying their luck for the first time in politics.

The Mandi seat fell vacant in March when BJP MP Ramswarup Sharma died. Shyamsharan Negi, 104, the first voter of independent India, cast his vote at the Kalpa polling station in Kinnaur district. The turnout in Fatehpur, Araki and Jubbal Kotkhai assembly constituencies was 62.4 per cent, 61.33 per cent and 66.1 per cent respectively.

Elections in Himachal Pradesh are important because there are assembly elections next year. In addition to three seats in Himachal Pradesh, five seats in Assam and four seats in West Bengal, three each in Madhya Pradesh and Meghalaya, two each in Bihar, Rajasthan and Karnataka, and one each in Andhra, Haryana, Mizoram, Maharashtra and Telangana. The election has taken place.
