The Taliban have lied that they have taken control of Panjshir

- Former Vice President Amrullah Saleh says he did not bow down

The Taliban claimed to have captured the Panjshir valley north of Kabul on Friday and celebrated it. But Ahmed Masood, the leader of the resistance group, said Panjshir had not fallen. Reports of the Taliban's occupation of Panjshir were reported by the Pakistani media. Calling the report a lie, Ahmed Masood said, "The day Panjshir did not fall will be the last day of my life." Amrullah Saleh, a former vice president of Afghanistan and leader of the anti-Taliban group, said his allies did not bow down and did not stop fighting. Admittedly, we are in a difficult situation. We are also being attacked by the Taliban, but we are facing a hard line. A BBC World reporter posted a video clip of this on Twitter.

"We are still facing and will continue to face," Saleh said.

Earlier, in media reports, Taliban leaders claimed that Panjshir had fallen to the Islamic Army (Taliban).

"By the grace of Allah, we have taken over the whole of Afghanistan. The riots in Panjshir have been defeated. Panjshir is under our control," the Taliban leaders said.
