The paralyzed, the elderly will be given the corona vaccine at their homes ઃ Center

People with disabilities, including the disabled and the elderly, who have difficulty moving from one place to another, will be vaccinated at their homes, the government said in a statement. Meanwhile, 21.3 new cases of corona were reported in the country today.

Talking to reporters, Union Health Ministry officials said that although the number of corona cases has come down, the second wave of corona in the country is not over yet.

He further said that out of the total number of new cases registered in Corona in the last one week, 4.5 per cent were in Kerala alone. The number of active cases in Kerala is over one lakh. In 7 districts of the country, the weekly positive rate is more than 10%. There are 6 districts in which the weekly positive rate is between five per cent and ten per cent.

Out of the adult population of the country, 3% have been given first dose while 3% have been given both doses. He termed the decision of the British government to keep the vaccinated people in India in quarantine for ten days in Britain as discriminatory.

The total number of corona cases in the country so far has risen to 4,3,8,31 after 21.3 new cases were registered today. The number of active cases has come down to 5,01,50. Which is the lowest in the last 15 days. Today, the death toll from the corona has risen to 4,5,050, with nine new deaths. So far, the number of doses of corona vaccine given in the country has increased to 30 million.

Meanwhile, in view of the upcoming festive season, the Union government has asked the states and Union Territories to take special care not to overcrowd in districts with a positive rate of more than five per cent.
