Taliban firing in Kabul amid 'Pakistan Murdabad' slogans

Hundreds of Afghan protesters, including women, took to the streets on Tuesday in protest of a Pakistan Air Force drone strike in support of the Taliban in Panjshir, chanting "Pakistan Murdabad" as well as "Freedom", "Allah Akbar" and "Women's Rights" in Afghanistan. However, on the streets of Kabul, the Taliban, engulfed in anti-Pakistan slogans, opened fire in the air to disperse the rally. Meanwhile, obstacles to forming a new government have finally been removed and Mulla Mohammad Hassan Akhund has been declared Prime Minister.

The Taliban, who had been occupying the whole of Afghanistan with lightning speed just before the US withdrew from Afghanistan, had failed to occupy Panjshir for more than a fortnight. The Taliban eventually had to enlist the help of its 'aka' Pakistan to capture Panjshir. The drone strike on Panjshir by the Pakistan Air Force and the visit of the head of Pakistan's spy agency ISI to Kabul have sparked outrage among Afghan civilians.

The Taliban claimed on Monday that it had also captured the last Panjshir province in Afghanistan out of its control. However, rejecting the Taliban's claim, Ahmed Masood, who stood up against the Taliban in Panjshir, vowed to fight to the last drop of blood in an audio message. The draft also called on Afghan citizens to take to the streets to oppose the Taliban occupying the country with foreign (Pakistani) help. The draft also claimed that the Pakistan Air Force had carried out a drone attack on Panjshir province.

Hundreds of protesters gathered outside the Pakistani embassy in Kabul on Tuesday after Ahmed Masood's claim, chanting "freedom", "Allah Akbar" and "we do not want to be held hostage". He also chanted anti-Pakistan slogans like 'Pakistan Murdabad' and 'Leave Pakistan Afghanistan'. Protesters say they do not want a puppet government in Afghanistan.

Fed up with anti-Pakistan slogans, Taliban fighters fired several times into the air to disperse the crowd, but people continued to demonstrate. Journalists and cameramen of the local channel Tolo News, which was broadcasting the Taliban fighters' rally, were picked up. However, he was released after being detained for three hours.

Meanwhile, obstacles to forming a new government in Afghanistan finally came to an end on Tuesday, with the Taliban announcing a new government late on Tuesday. Mulla Mohammad Hassan, a native of Kandahar, will be the new prime minister of the Taliban government in Afghanistan. Akhund is the head of the powerful 'Rehbari Shura' that decides the Taliban. Mulla Hibatullah Akhundzada will be the supreme leader of the Taliban who will adopt the Iranian regime. Mulla Abdul Gani Baradar has been made Deputy Prime Minister. Mulla Yaqub, the son of Taliban founder Mulla Mohammad Omar, will become defense minister. Sirajuddin Haqqani, the head of the infamous Haqqani network, has been named home minister, Abdul Hakim has been named justice minister, and Abbas Stanikzai has been named deputy foreign minister. Khairullah Kherkhan has been given the post of Information Minister.
