Veteran leader of the country and NCP president Sharad Pawar on Thursday slammed the Congress. He said the Congress should accept that it no longer lived from Kashmir to Kanyakumari as it once did. He also advised the ruling coalition party in Maharashtra to face the reality check.

He said that the condition of the Congress was like that of the landlords who could not save their mansion. Sharad Pawar further said that the rapprochement of the Congress with other opposition forces would only increase if it accepted the reality that it was no longer as far as Kanyakumari in Kashmir. Asked if it could be due to ego, Pawar said sarcastically that the Congress was like landlords who had lost most of their land and were not even able to save their mansion.

Explaining this from the area, he said that he had heard a story of landlords in Uttar Pradesh. They had large lands and large mansions. Since then the lands have been lost due to land demarcation laws. The mansion remained but its repair, care strength did not remain. Surviving 10-20 acres instead of thousands of acres.

"Whenever it comes to leadership, my friends in Congress cannot express a different opinion," Pawar said. When it comes to making Mamata Banerjee the face of the Opposition for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Congressmen say they have Rahul Gandhi.
