Petrol-diesel prices fall again after three days of stagnation

Petrol and diesel prices were hiked today after remaining stable for three consecutive days. The country's state-owned oil marketing companies (OMCs) have kept petrol and diesel prices stable for the past few days, despite falling international oil prices.

Today, the price of a liter of petrol was reduced by 15 to 18 paise and the price of diesel by 15 paise. The price of a liter of diesel was reduced by 12 paise.

Despite a modest reduction in petrol and diesel prices, petrol and diesel prices are still high across the country. After today's reduction, the price of a liter of petrol in New Delhi has come down to Rs 101.12 and the price of diesel has come down to Rs 7.5.

In Mumbai, the price of a liter of petrol has come down to Rs 102.5. In Kolkata, the price of petrol has gone up to Rs 101. It may be mentioned that there are still many cities in the country in which the price of petrol has crossed Rs 100.

In Kolkata, the price of a liter of diesel has gone up to Rs 71.31 and in Chennai to Rs 4.
