Pakistan has been openly supporting the Taliban government in Afghanistan since the beginning. The Taliban, on the other hand, is making Pakistan its second home. Now Pakistan has talked of starting trade with Afghanistan in its own currency. Pakistan's Union Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin on Thursday said his government has decided to trade with Afghanistan in Pakistani currency. "Afghanistan has a shortage of dollars so Pakistan will trade in its own currency," Tarin said.

Pakistan will send its team to Afghanistan

"The situation in Afghanistan is being closely monitored," Shaukat said. Pakistan could also send a team to revive Afghanistan's economy. In fact, a number of organizations, including the International Monetary Fund, have cut off funding to Afghanistan and frozen its assets. Because of this the Taliban is facing an economic crisis.

However, the state of Pakistan's economy is not good. "Pakistan will soon see the results of its trade with Afghanistan," said Tarin, Pakistan's finance minister. The government wants to increase Pakistan's GDP growth from 4 per cent to 4.8 per cent in the current financial year. The devaluation of the Pakistani rupee in 2018-2019 had a detrimental effect on the economy. At present, the value of one dollar is 169 Pakistani rupees.
