A case has been filed against former Uttar Pradesh Governor Aziz Qureshi for making a controversial statement about the Yogi government on Sunday. Earlier in the day, Qureshi visited the house of SP MP Azam Khan in Rampur and visited his wife there. There has been controversy over the statement he made.

In Rampur, a case was filed against former governor and Congress leader Aziz Qureshi on charges of treason in the Thane civil line. A case has been registered against Qureshi under sections 153A, 153B, 124A and 505 (1) (b). Allegedly, he made a catastrophic statement against Yogi Sarkar.

BJP leader Akash Saxena has filed a case against Qureshi. He said the yogi would not tolerate false remarks against the government. It is alleged in the FIR that Qureshi, after meeting Azam Khan's wife, made an unlimited statement comparing the yogi government to a crowd of people comparing him to a demon, a devil and a bloodthirsty beast.

According to the complaint lodged by the BJP leader, Aziz Qureshi made such a statement in the presence of a large crowd of people. At the same time, it falls into the category of deliberately blackmailing the government and creating unrest in the society. His deliberate statement is going viral on social media so fast that the atmosphere in UP, including Rampur, is likely to deteriorate.
