Fighting intensifies in Panjshir, clashes between Taliban and Northern Alliance, attempts to block roads by blowing up bridges

On the one hand, the Taliban is claiming against the whole world to form and run a government in Afghanistan peacefully. But other Taliban fighters are constantly trying to infiltrate Panjshir areas. The Taliban also reportedly tried to infiltrate Panjshir on Tuesday night where it came across Northern Alliance (NA) fighters.

According to a tweet by local journalist Natik Malikzada, there was a clash between Taliban fighters and Northern Alliance fighters in the Gulbahar area at the entrance to Panjshir in Afghanistan. Not only that, there are reports that the Taliban blew up a bridge there. Other than that many fighters have been picked up fast.

Earlier on Monday night, there was also a shootout between Taliban and Northern Alliance fighters. There were reports of about 7-8 Taliban fighters being killed at the time. Panjshir is still far from Taliban control. There, the Northern Alliance, led by Ahmed Masood, is fighting the Taliban.

Ahmed Masood's spokesman Faheem Dashti also confirmed the fighting with the Taliban. According to Fahim, the Taliban attacked Panjshir on Monday night and tried to infiltrate but had no success. The Taliban have already shut down the internet in the Panjshir region. However it was later opened.

The U.S. military left Kabul airport on August 30. Afghanistan is now completely ruled by the Taliban. The Taliban will soon form a new government in Afghanistan. The veteran Taliban leader is present in Kandahar and may soon leave for Kabul. Then the process of forming a government will begin.
