Rs.20 per kg of water while Rs.1 to 5 per kg of vegetables in the yard! Bumper production of vegetables in the rainy season

Rajkot: Rajkot Yard used to get adequate prices of low quality vegetables due to shortage of vegetables, but now the prices of various vegetables have come down drastically due to bumper production. Following which, it was the turn of the farmers to throw away the vegetables today. According to yard sources, about 25 rounds of the tractor were used to dispose of the discarded vegetables.

On one side of the city, a leaf shop sells 200 ml of drinking water at Rs. 5 per liter, while a liter bottle costs Rs. Sold at 1 to 5 kg. Buyers do not buy stale or weak looking vegetables if they get good vegetables at a discount and the tonnage is increasing which is causing natural loss to the farmers.

According to the sources, the current humidity, cooling in the weather, exposure after a downpour instead of a continuous downpour, etc., are suitable for vegetables. And it is reaping abundant harvests. The vegetable trade does not involve profiteers like the oil trade, so its prices are largely determined by demand and supply.
